Cookie Policy
The short version: FirstPick uses only essential cookies. Reading the site sets none at all.
No cookies for browsing
Reading this site sets no cookies at all. We use no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no tracking pixels. No advertising or analytics third party sets cookies through our pages. Cookies are set in exactly two situations, and both are the direct result of something you did: signing in, and asking us to remove a page about your business.
What signing in sets
When you create an account or sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets a cookie whose name starts with "sb-". It keeps you signed in as you move between pages and between visits, and it lasts until you sign out or it expires. It exists only to provide the signed-in service you asked for. During a Google sign-in, a second short-lived cookie carries the secure handshake and is removed when sign-in completes.
What asking us to remove a page sets
Some businesses have a public page here that we built from public information, with a control on it to have that page removed. Using that control sets one cookie, for ten minutes, readable only by our server and only on that page. It carries the outcome of your own request, and it exists because a successful removal deletes the page, so there is nothing left to build the confirmation from. It identifies nobody, is never read anywhere else on the site, and expires on its own. It is not set unless you use the control.
Bot protection on our forms
Our sign-in, account, and waitlist forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated abuse. The check runs inside a Cloudflare frame and may keep short-lived state on Cloudflare's own domain while it verifies your browser. It exists to tell humans from bots, not to track you across sites, and we read nothing from it except the pass result.
Why there is no consent pop-up to configure
Consent prompts exist to gate non-essential cookies. Every cookie described above is strictly necessary to do something you asked for, so there is nothing to opt in or out of. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set, and we will update this page first.
Clearing cookies
You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings. Clearing them signs you out of your dashboard; nothing else about your account changes. Clearing a removal receipt does not undo the removal, which is recorded on our side rather than in your browser.
